With the input of partners identified in the EOP, the Public Safety Commission works to ensure that the County’s plan provides a sufficient level of planning coordination and logistical support necessary for response to both natural and human-caused disasters. The Jefferson County Sheriffs Office has teamed up with Frontier Regional 911 and the counties of Gilliam, Sherman, and Wheeler County to implemented an Emergency Notification system designed to provide emergency notification to residents and businesses in the four counties. About the CommissionĪs established by the Home Rule Charter of Jefferson County (Article VI, Section 6.2), the Public Safety Commission works with the Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management to maintain the County’s All-Hazards Emergency Operations Plan ( EOP). Salary range: $21.82 – $31.04 per hour plus benefits. Currently, employees work 12-hour shifts, either 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am.
